The Evaluation Lab is a new resource designed to support organisations participating in the Impact and Insight Toolkit 2023+ in developing evaluation approaches that reflect their individual needs. It brings together survey and evaluation templates alongside practical guidance to help you use them effectively and get more from your feedback.

The Lab has been developed in response to conversations with organisations throughout the Toolkit project. Across these discussions, we have heard a wide range of experiences and needs, shaped by different types of work, audiences, organisational contexts and approaches to evaluation.

We know that starting from a blank page can feel daunting. This is why the Lab focusses on giving you practical starting points that you can build upon, helping you develop an approach that works for your organisation. Inside the Evaluation Lab, you will find a growing collection of survey and evaluation templates created by Counting What Counts, each supported by guidance to help you understand how and when to use them, and how to adapt them to your own context. This is an evolving resource, with new templates and resources added in response to your feedback and emerging needs. We encourage you to check back regularly as it grows!
